Beef Tenderloin Steak with Mushroom Orzo
This Beef Tenderloin Steak with Mushroom Orzo is easily one of my first choices for a comforting meal that still feels special. The tender steak pairs perfectly with the earthy mushroom orzo, creating an incredible combination that’s both hearty and satisfying.
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
- 2 center-cut beef tenderloin steaks
- 2 sprigs of rosemary
- 3 garlic cloves
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
For the Mushroom Orzo:
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 lb assorted mushrooms, sliced (such as white, portobello, and cremini)
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 3/4 cup coconut cream (or heavy cream)
- 1/2 cup beef or mushroom stock
- 1 cup orzo
- Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Herbs Sauce:
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1/3 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 small red chili, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh oregano, chopped
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1/3 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 small red chili, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh oregano, chopped
